Organizations differ greatly in terms of written and unwritten norms. There is a great difference in people`s relation to these norms as well as in consistency of their attitude towards norms and rules.
The LPO test is a response to practical needs: employees are handling material value, information, situations that require honesty, trustworthiness even in unclear, uncertain situations. In many cases difficult to draw the limits of ethical behavior. In most cases, the cause of the problem is not that someone is openly dishonest, immoral, and is obviously breaking the rules. In practice, in most cases, the problem is almost nothing: bigger or smaller mistakes, misbehavior, some small privileges acquired.
The psychology is probably just left the question of ethical behavior to the philosophy, because it is not absolute; its content is relative, and it is forming with the development of the personality. Knowledge of ethical rules does not mean they are also learned, and even more does not mean behaving according to the rules and norms. The pace and content of learning, the quality of moral behavior in general are influenced by and wider social environment. Personality is forming in the continuous interaction of social environment and individual's needs and intents.
The test offers six semi structured situations, which may be regarded as morally neutral and very commonplace. The answers to these situations detect the reactions that reach the sensitive border of personal or organizational integrity or go beyond it.
